No matter what kind of party you’re throwing next, noisemakers will definitely add to the mood at the gathering. There’s nothing like being caught at a party where there are constant battles of overcoming silence.
Noisemakers range from horns, rattles and music. Most famously are the horns blown to mark the stroke of midnight every New Year’s Day. These horns can be purchased almost anywhere close to New Year’s Eve but may be found year round at party supply and party supply outlet stores across the country. Don’t forget that the Internet is also a wonderful place to find just about any kind of party favor in sight.
When throwing a themed party, make sure to have a noisemaker on hand to match the flavor of the party. A terrific noisemaker for a Cinco de Mayo party would be maracas. While they add to the theme of Mexican celebration they also can encourage people to sing and dance. It seems as though everyone loves maracas - you’ll be hard pressed to find someone who can sit in front of a maraca and not pick it up to give it a good shake.
Of course noisemakers need not be tangible items. Music adds a great spice to any party and can also be tailored to match the party’s theme. Make a mixed CD of music before the party to avoid having to change music out from artist to artist. This will free up the host to pay more attention to the guests.
